Credit by Industry Training

Students may demonstrate college-level competency and establish college credits by submitting documentation of professional certifications and licenses earned, training and courses completed, or work experience.
 
Start by reviewing course descriptions in the current BSC catalog and consult your academic advisor to determine if your prior learning aligns with your degree plan. Identify BSC courses that may correspond to your experience. Gather documentation such as proof of certification, training outlines, competency descriptions, and assessments.
 
If the student is applying for credit in energy-related courses, they need to request detailed training documentation from their employer and include copies of certifications earned.
 
Students who have had their experience reviewed and assessed by the , should request to have their mailed to ÃÛÌÒAV, Dean of Distance Education & Learning Support Services, PO Box 5587, Bismarck, ND 58506.
 
Students must review the Credit by Industry Training Operational Procedure, then complete the PLA Application Industry Training form. Submit the completed form to the Dean of Distance Education & Learning Support Services at bsc.priorlearning@bismarckstate.edu
