Online Job Seeking Sites

In addition to Handshake and Golden Path Solutions, BSC encourages students to explore a variety of online job-seeking websites. These resources can help you search for jobs both locally and across the country, prepare for interviews, and connect with potential employers.

National & Regional Job Boards  (List in alphabetical order)
  •  – One of the largest job search engines with opportunities across all industries.
  •  – A professional networking site where you can find job listings, connect with employers, and showcase your resume.
  •  – The official job site of the U.S. federal government.
  •  – Job search portal for North Dakota employers and job seekers.
  •  – North Dakota Office of Management and Budget's career portal for state job openings
  •  – North Dakota’s workforce development and job match system

Stay Alert: Protect Yourself from Job Scams

When searching for jobs online, it's important to stay vigilant. Legitimate employers will never request sensitive personal information—such as your Social Security number or banking details—during the initial application process. Be cautious of job postings that:

  • Promise unusually high pay for minimal work
  • Require upfront payments or purchases
  • Use vague or unverifiable contact information
If a job offer seems suspicious or too good to be true, don’t take chances—reach out to BSC Career Services for guidance before applying.

Career Fairs and Networking Events

College students and community members seeking employment can meet with more than 100 employers, discuss career options and network with other business professionals in a variety of industries. BSC Human Resources representatives will also be available to discuss career opportunities at BSC. Attendees are advised to bring a resume and dress professionally.
